Liu et?al. in their Research Article (DOI: doi: 10.1002/anie.201910772). The recognition and the following cleavage activities of CRISPR‐Cas12a make CRISPR itself an integrated sensing and actuating system. Transducing the CRISPR activity through electrochemistry delivers an electrochemical biosensor for the detection of nucleic acids and proteins.
